The Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) has released its eighth research report on corruption database 2005.
The report said that in terms of financial losses due to corruption, the local government and rural development sector was found to be at the top of the list, followed by power division, forest and environment, the private sector, excepting the non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and finance.
The education sector came first on the corruption list that considered a number of incidences. In this category, the education was followed by police, health and family welfare, local government and rural development and the private sector.
