Maskwaith Ahsan , a broadcast journalist from Germany says that the World Cup this year in Germany has been tremendously successful.
Referring to Tony Blair , the British Prime Minister’s recent praise for Germany , Maskwaith says that in spite of initial fear of the rise of a neo nationalism in Germany amongst the young generation , it was proved that Germany is a very good host for different countries of the World. Contrary to all fears German people did not act adversely.
In an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service Maskwaith says that the expectations from the teams which played the tournament was largely met except for Brazil and Argentina . These countries have failed the expectations of people to whom they were the hot favorites. He says that despite this setback the tournament progressed as expected and a part from Portugal , the rest of the countries who came to Semi Final were all World Cup Winners.
