Mujahidul Islam Selim, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Bangladesh has condemned BNP ‘s decision to offer Ershad and his party BJP a place in the four party coalition.
In an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service , Mujahidul Islam Selim says that such , and, for that matter, any kind of electoral alliance with the former corrupt and indeed deposed President H M Ershad is an insult to the whole nation . Selim also criticized the opposition Awami League for trying to accommodate Ershad in 1996.
The CPB leader strongly criticized the Islam fundamentalist party Jama’at e Islami. and its inclusion in the ruling alliance . He said that there is no difference between the communal attitude on the one hand and dictatorship on the other.
