Zeena Rahman who lives in a suburb near Washington has been singing Tagore’s songs for a long time. Recently her CD on Tagore’s Songs has been brought out.
In an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service she recalls the days when there were so few Bengalis in this Washington area. She however said that even in those days they would gather in some one’s house .
Zeena was deeply inspired by her parents who were singers themselves and then she began her education in music in Dhaka’s Bulbul Academy of Fine Arts.
