Bangladesh's prime minister and thousands of her supporters have marched in the capital, Dhaka.
Traffic was disrupted as streams of chanting and dancing supporters of Khaleda Zia took to the streets. The march was to mark the 28th anniversary of her Bangladesh Nationalist Party but soon turned into an election rally.
Begum Khaleda Zia urged the people to take the correct decision and vote for her party BNP. She made the appeal while addressing a rally, prior to leading the procession. The Prime Minister also asked the people and her followers to remain united and criticized opposition party Awami League for staging frequent protests.
The procession started from Nayabazar in old Dhaka and ended in Gabtoli in Mirpur.
