The terrorists attacks on the USA on September 11, 2001 had a very important impact in the South Asia. The speakers said that although the USA is far more secured now than it was five years ago , the threat of terrorism is very much present in India. The panel of discussants included Professor Jayanta Kumar Roy, the retired centenary professor of International Relations in Kolkata University and Professor Om Prakash Misra , the Professor of International Relations in Jadavpur University and former Advisor to Indian foreign ministry.
