India and Pakistan have agreed to resume peace talks that were suspended in July after bombs ripped through trains in India's financial hub, Mumbai .
Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh agreed to restart talks when they met Saturday on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement summit in Havana, Cuba.They said their foreign secretaries will meet as early as possible and that negotiations will cover a full range of bilateral issues, including the disputed region of Kashmir.
The leaders strongly condemned terrorism. Mr. Singh said the two countries would establish what he called an an "institutional mechanism" to identify and fight terrorism.
India has blamed Islamist militants with ties to Pakistan for the July train bombings that killed 186 people. Pakistan denies any involvement.
