U.N. General Assembly opens its session on Tuesday, and over seven days, more than 80 heads of state and government will address the assembly.
President Bush will speak at the opening session, along with the leaders of France, Finland, Poland, South Africa, Pakistan and Brazil.
Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister M. Morshed Khan is representing Bangladesh and will address the session on the 25th of September.
Pranab Mukherjee, India’s Defense Minister, will address the session on the 27th of September.
On Monday Bangladesh Foreign Minister spoke at a high level meeting on mid-term review of the LDC Programme of Action. Morshed Khan urged the international community to help strengthen LDC capacities to manage their weather-related risks.
