Muhammad Khalid Shams, Deputy Managing Director of Grameen Bank pays strong tributes to the founder of the Grameen Bank saying that Dr Yunus has practically impressed him by his simplicity.
He says that when he first entered the office of Dr Yunus, he was amazed to see that the head of the Grameen Bank sat in a small undecorated room without even an air conditioner or multiple telephones.
Mr Shams says that he first met Professor Yunus in 1982 and later after giving up the government job Shams came in close professional proximity with Yunus.
