Khushi Kabir joined the organization “Nijera Kori” in 1980 as Coordinator and working till present as its key person. Nijera Kori is a development organization presently working in 38 thanas, 1126 villages of Bangladesh, organizing 1,75,000 landless women and men in socioeconomic struggles as well as facilitating better access to rural services and available resources, with a view to building self-reliance and improved production, through mobilization and collective action.
In this interview she spoke about Grameen Bank’s effect on Bangladeshi women’s socioeconomic development and empowerment. She also talked about the significance of the different aspects of Grameen Bank.
