Khaleda did not Approve Holiday on Monday


It was widely expected in Bangladesh that Monday would be a closed holiday prior to Eid in Bangladesh. However, Prime Minister Khaleda Zia did not sign the file declaring holiday on Monday although the ministers were under impression that they did the last day of their office on Sunday.

The prime minister, Khaleda Zia, on Sunday asked the country’s top officials to remain alert so that no administrative vacuums can be created during the juncture of power transfer to the caretaker government.

She made the call while addressing the secretaries of all ministries at the conference room of cabinet division in Bangladesh secretariat.
The prime minister also urged the senior most civil servants to work with sincerity in future so that the people can constantly get benefits of the present government’s welfare-oriented programs.
