Golam Sarwar , Editor of the Daily Jugantor in Dhaka said that President Iajuddin Ahmed has practically failed to explore other possibilities of choosing a person to head the Caretaker government in Bangladesh.
In an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service , he said that President has not at all explored the last but one provision where he was required to discuss with all political parties for choosing a non partisan person from amongst the members of civil society . Instead the President himself has assumed the power and responsibility of the head of the caretaker government.
He said that many people think that by doing so the President of Bangladesh has practically violated the constitution of Bangladesh. He has also not consulted the eminent jurists in the country. Although he spoke to the Attorney General but in Bangladesh an attorney general is a political appointee.
