Social activist Medha Patkar will compile a report on farmland acquisition for Tata Motors’s small car project in Singur with information from the state government and inputs received from her public hearing last Friday.
Patkar, the leader of the Narmada Bachao Andolan met with state Commerce and Industries minister Nirupam Sen. Mr. Sen is also the chairman of the West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC), which will finally transfer land acquired by the government to the Tatas.
