Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed , Managing Director Palli Karma Shohayok Foundation (PKSF) , an NGO and former Governor of Bangladesh Bank while speaking with VOA Bangla Service describes briefly the economic situation in Bangladesh.
He says that the growth rate in Bangladesh has increased over the last couple of years . But he says some problems are also noticed like infra-structural problems, power shortage problems, fuel problems and the transportation problems , particularly problems in Chittagong Port . They are seen as bottlenecks to a sustainable percentage of growth rate in Bangladesh.
About the fluctuations of the value of Bangladesh currency, Taka Dr Ahmed says that currencies these days are controlled by market factors and the rules of demand and supply apply to them as well. He also described some of the reforms in the Banking sector in Bangladesh
