Mahfuz Anam is the editor of Dhaka's popular newspaper The Daily Star.
He attended a just concluded conference in London on ' The rise of political Islam in Bangladesh: What's at stake in the 2007 Elections.' The conference was co-sponsored by Hudson Institute in Washington, DC in conjunction with Policy Exchange in London and the New Statesman Magazine in UK.
Mahfuz Anam spoke about the issues that was discussed in the conference.
