Bush Ends Asia Tour With Stop in Indonesia

President George W. Bush has concluded his trip to Asia with a stop in Indonesia, where he met President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono amid protests against the U.S. presence in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Mr. Bush and Mr. Yudhoyono discussed the war on terror, North Korea, and other issues during their Monday meeting at a presidential palace in Bogor, about 60 kilometers from Jakarta.

They also discussed the war in Iraq. At a news conference, President Bush said he had not yet decided whether to raise or lower the number of U.S. troops in Iraq.

Mr. Bush said he viewed the protests against U.S. policy as a healthy indication of democracy and freedom in Indonesia.

Mr. Bush departed Indonesia on a long flight to Hawaii, where he will spend the night before returning to Washington later on Tuesday.
