Bangladesh's interim President Iajuddin Ahmed has appointed four new advisors to his caretaker government to replace four who resigned Monday.
The president administered the oath of office in Dhaka on Tuesday to a retired army officer, a professor, the head of a development agency and a former government official.
The four advisors who resigned Monday quit to protest the interim president's decision to deploy troops in connection with January's scheduled elections.
