Nobel Peace Prize Winner Launches Music Video for Free Eye Clinics

Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus has helped launch a music CD and video to raise money for new eye clinics in his native Bangladesh.

Yunus announced the release of the song, called "Hear Me Now," in Oslo Tuesday. It is a collaboration with a Norwegian vocalist, Milla Sunde and British musician, Tom Bevan who make up the band "The Green Children."

The musicians say they became interested in Yunus and his work to give small loans to the poor several years ago. They say they decided to create the song to spread the message of his work.

The group says proceeds from the CD will go toward building eye hospitals in Bangladesh. The musicians say they will have enough money to build three hospitals if they sell all of their CDs.

The Nobel committee named the economist from Bangladesh and his Grameen Bank the winner of this year's peace prize. Yunus founded the bank 30 years ago to provide small loans called micro-credit to the poor at little or no interest.
