Bangladesh High Court Suspends Elections for Three Months

The High Court in Bangladesh has ruled that elections cannot be held for at least three months.

The court ordered the election commission to explain why a disputed list of voters would not be updated. It also asked the commission why voter identity cards and transparent ballot boxes could not be prepared before the polls.

The court was petitioned by a private citizen who challenged the legality of the voters list.

Amir Khasru has more on the story.
