Jute Mills in West Bengal have been on strike now over a couple of months. However, Mrinal Banerjee, the Industries Minister of the Indian state of West Bengal has hoped that this deadlock will end soon.
He said that the difference of opinion between the owners and the labor unions of Jute Mills is abridging fast. Both the parties agree that if the strike continues it will have a serious adverse effect on the Jute Industry in West Bengal. Laborers from 55 Jute Mills are on strike on a fourteen –points demand , include a rise in their pay.
