United States thinks that the present campaign against corruptions in Bangladesh brings a positive note for the country’s future. A spokesperson from the US embassy in Dhaka said that they have been watching the developments with great interest.
He added that combating corruptions is a long standing priority of the United States government as is protecting the human rights of any one held in government custody.
He also said that the US hopes that the trial of those arrested would be held taking into considerations the international norms and the Bangladeshi law.
