Geeti Ara Safia Chowdhury , the advisor for Industries , Jute , Textile Women’s and Children’s Affairs to the caretaker government in Bangladesh attended this conference at UN in New York on the occasion of International Women’s Day. She said this year’s theme was the Empowerment and the Equal Rights of Women.
In the seminar the Advisor said that one of the positive steps so far taken for Bangladeshi women is the opportunity for their education.
In an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla she emphasized on education. She said that education is making them aware of lots of other things.
