Following a rumor about the house arrests of the two former Prime Ministers of Bangladesh , Sheikh Hasina and Khaleda Zia , their respective parties have said that they have no information about their movements being restricted .
In fact Sheikh Hasina while visiting a senior Awami League Leader and member of the President Zillur Rahman in a hospital in Dhaka said that if she were under house arrest, how could she be visiting her party colleague in the hospital.
Although Khaleda Zia has not personally commented on her supposed house arrest , BNP Joint Secretary General Nazrul Islam Khan said that they had not received any such directions.
