Sher Singh, a senior IAS officer of West Bengal cadre wrote the book,The Secular Emperor.
In the book he said the Babri Mosque was built 16 years before Babar was born. The central government of India brought legal action against the author because he wrote the book without prior government approval. He also lost his job. Now the Kolkata High Court has ordered that Sher Singh should get his job back and be compensated.
