A seasonal, tropical storm in Bangladesh has killed at least 10 people and injured at least 100 others. The storm struck Bhola district, south of the capital, Dhaka, late Thursday and damaged hundreds of houses.
Local residents said the storm lasted about 20 minutes but destroyed hundreds of homes. Deputy Commissioner Belayet Hossain visited the storm-hit area. He told local media the government is taking measures to provide relief to victims. Many people die each year in tropical storms that hit coastal Bangladesh during the region's rainy season.
