West Bengal’s home secretary Prasad Ranjan Roy said that state government plans to initiate peace talks in Nandigram.
He said the district magistrate has been directed to call an all party meeting. The West Bengal Government began an executive inquiry on Monday into the firing and violence on March 14 at Nandigram in Purbo Medinipur district which claimed 14 lives.
