A Dhaka court rejected the petition filed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Tarique Rahman’s lawyers challenging the legality of the extortion case against him.
A Dhaka court will decide on April 5 whether to put Tarique Rahman and his close aide Mian Nuruddin Apu on trial on charge of extortion.
Tarique was taken to the court on Thursday.
