The 14th South Asian Association of Regional Cooperation, SAARC meeting was held in New Delhi, India on the 3rd and 4th April, 2007. The topic of today’s Hello Washington is SAARC meeting and its future.
In today’s show the panelists were Faruq Ahmed Choudhury, M. J. Akbar and Dr. Selim Jahan.
Faruq Ahmed Choudhury is the former Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Ambassador to India and Secretary General, First SAARC summit.
M. J. Akbar is a veteran journalist and author. He's the founder and editor-in-chief and managing director of The Asian Age, a daily multi-edition Indian newspaper with a global perspective.
Dr. Selim Jahan is currently the Senior Adviser, Employment for Poverty Reduction, Bureau for Development Policy (BDP), UNDP.
The program included a two-way with Masud Karim, Diplomatic Correspondent of Daily Jugantor. Mr. Karim spoke about the latest news and happenings at the SAARC.
