After a meeting of the State Secretaries of CPIM in Kolkata , Jyoti Basu said to the journalists that although reactions were seen in different parts of the country regarding the land acquisition at Nandigram , they are now hopeful to resolve the problems.
He added that the efforts for industrialization shall continue unabated. He stressed that people who have lost their lands should adequately be compensated. He also called upon the coalition partners to help keep the unity of the left front parties.
