London’s The Economist says  Khaleda Succumbs to Blackmail

The fate of the former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia is still not decided. Despite rumors about her immediate exile to Saudi Arabia, no one really knows when she is scheduled to leave the country.

However, several sources say that Khaleda might leave the country for Saudi Arabia along with most of the members of her family in a day or two. Although her youngest son Arafat Rahman was released soon after being held for 24 hours , the eldest son Tarique Rahman remains in custody on charges of extortion .

London’s The Economist says , Mrs Zia had, in effect, succumbed to blackmail over the fate of her two sons, both facing corruption charges.
