“Come What May, I must return to My Homeland Bangladesh” : Hasina Expresses her Determinations

Sheikh Hasina, the Leader of Bangladesh Awami League and a former Prime Minister of Bangladesh, who is now in London, said that she exactly does not know what steps Bangladesh authority might take against her when she enters the country but she apprehended that she might be arrested or even killed but those risks would not deter her from returning to her own country.

In an exclusive interview with Voice of America’s Bangla Service Hasina said that immediately after she criticized the delay in elections, cases were filed against her and as she prepares to face the charges she is barred from entering the country. She terms this as “unjustified and unfair”.

She alleges that the quarters which lack in support are trying to grab power in Bangladesh , keeping the popular political parties at bay.

Sheikh Hasina says that during her regime she got a peace prize for bringing in peace at Chittagong Hill Tracts in Bangladesh and now she is being accused for damaging peace in Bangladesh. S

Sheikh Hasina was speaking over phone from London from where she is scheduled to fly to Dhaka .
