Government in Bangladesh is trying to Legalize VOIP use


The interim cabinet at a meeting on Saturday asked the officials concerned to find a way out to legally use Voice over Internet Protocol, a technology that uses internet to send and receive voice calls.
The meeting, presided over by the chief advisor the interim government in Bangladesh Fakhruddin Ahmed, also asked the ministries of posts and telecommunication, science and information and communication technology, and information to work out a guideline for internet telephonic system.

The meeting, held at the Chief Adviser’s Office attended by all but two advisers, also reviewed the activities carried out in three months of the Fakhruddin Ahmed-led interim administration and decided to sign and ratify the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
