Bangladesh observed World Press Freedom Day on Thursday.
Mass-line Media Centre in association with Manusher Jonno and Unesco organized a program at the LGED Bhaban auditorium marking the World Press Freedom Day.
US Ambassador to Bangladesh Patricia A Butenis spoke at the program. She said the prevailing state of emergency has created uncertainty for the journalists as they are struggling to find a way past the informal controls on media freedom.
