Syed Fahim Munaim, press secretary to the Chief Adviser Fakhruddin Ahmed , said they had no plan to send the former Prime Minister to exile. He said both Hasina and Khaleda can do politics when the ban is lifted.
He also said that the government has no concrete plan in sight to relax restrictions on political activities under the Emergency Powers Rules or to lift the state of emergency and allow the parties to carry out the envisaged reforms agenda.
Asked whether the government has any timeline to allow political parties to hold dialogues on reform agenda or lift the emergency, the press secretary said the Election Commission had started dialogues with different quarters.
The commission will also hold discussions with others concerned, including the political parties, he said.
