A passenger traveling from Kolkata to Dhaka will be charged only a thousand taka return fare. However, when exactly the train starts the service is still not clear.
The main problem is the immigration facilities on the either side of the border. Indian authorities say that it might take a few months to establish immigration facilities at Gede, the Indian side of the border.
The train is scheduled to travel from Kolkata to Joydebpur , about 25 kilometers north of Dhaka and it would take eleven hours to reach on either side of the terminus
