William B Milam , a former US Ambassador to Bangladesh said the he does not think that the country is going to go back to military dictatorship.
Talking to journalist after an hour long meeting with the Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury, Milam said that some significant experiments on democracy in Bangladesh is taking place. He said that it seemed to him that the government has a plan and process to take the nation to democracy within a specific time frame.
Milam, now working as an expert at Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington, emphasized that he did not see any difficulties in Bangladesh in its transition to democracy.
