Outgoing US Ambassador to Bangladesh Patricia A Butenis called on the Chief Adviser Dr. Fakhruddin Ahmed.
Officials said that Dr. Ahmed told the Ambassador that the government will help the Election Commission to ensure that the election is held by the end of 2008.
The Chief of the caretaker government thanked the US government for the support and help that US has given to Bangladesh.
