Amir Hossain Amu , a former minister from Awami League and a presidium member of Awami League says that every one in the party , including the party chief Sheikh Hasina , are in favor of reforms.
However , the details on reforms need to be discussed in working committee but the official meeting of the working committee can not be held until at least a parlor politics is allowed in the country.
In an interview with VOA Bangla Service Mr Amu said that his party believes in joint leadership and that is precisely why they have got Presidium. The Presidium allows the party to take joint decisions and curtails the power of a single person. All that they now need is to implement the idea of not concentrating power in one person
’s hand.
