The flood situation in West Bengal improved on Wednesday but many parts of the state are still water logged.
Finance Minister Asim Dasgupta will hold a meeting on Thursday to assess the flood situation. Water in most rivers is receding but breaches have occurred in five embankments in West Midnapore district.
