In Bangladesh, tens of thousands of people have been admitted to hospitals this month with diarrhea and other water-borne diseases.
According to the authorities, in the last 10 days at least 48 thousand people contacted the diseases. Twenty eight (28) mobile treatment centers have been established to treat the patients. Amir Khasru spoke to International diarrhea diseases and research centre, ICDDRB’s Dr. Shahadat Hossain about the latest situation.
Health situation in Sirajgong and Kurigram have also deteriorated in the last few days. Local journalists informed VOA that there are scarcity of IV saline in the market.
