Golam Manik Mawla is the CEO of MAAWS, a social welfare organization.
MAAWS exists to empower the socially, educationally and economically deprived communities through education, training and action programs in the formal and non-formal fields.
The organization provides for the wellbeing of the community through education, health, income generating, farm land utilization, vocational training to meet exigencies in the rural sector. The organization is trying to mobilize resources from donor, get the business communities, civil society involved to provide technical assistance for the disadvantaged.
Mr. Mawla spoke about the organization in this interview with Voice of America.
