Indo-US civilian nuclear accord is being increasingly disliked by different leftist parties in India including CPM. China and Pakistan, the two neighbouring countries have also objected to the treaty. Hence some people are saying that the leftists in India are looking for the interests of China and Pakistan.
Prakash Karat the general secretary of the CPM has strongly objected against these assumptions. He said that the Indo-US Nuclear deal will have long-term consequences. He thinks that the government should pause and not take further steps on N-policy.
