Security officials say a Pakistani soldier was killed and at least 12 others wounded on Sunday when pro-Taleban militants fired rockets at a security post and attacked an army convoy.
Officials say four soldiers were wounded when a roadside bomb went off near a convoy headed to Miran Shah, the main town in the tribal North Waziristan region bordering Afghanistan.
In another incident, authorities say a soldier was killed and three wounded in a pre-dawn rocket attack on a military post.
Officials say at least five other troops were wounded in other attacks.
Pakistani security forces have suffered a series of militant attacks and abductions that have killed scores of soldiers since a government raid on the radical Red Mosque in Islamabad in July.
