Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated in West Bengal and other parts of India with traditional fervor on sunday.
People greeted each other and wore new clothes to mark the day. It also marked the end of a month long fasting during 'Ramzan' for the Muslims and was celebrated with due solemnity and religious fervor.
Muslims gathered in large numbers and offered prayers at various mosques and edgahs and exchanged greetings.
