Muslims around the world celebrated one of the most important holidays on the Islamic calendar, Eid-al- Fitr, which marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Muslims throughout USA also celebrated the holiday. In the Washington metropolitan area Eid prayers were held in many mosques on Saturday.
Bangladesh Association of America Inc. arranged for Eid jamaat for its members in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
Two sisters, Anika Rahman and Maliha Rahman attended the Eid prayers and celebrations. They spoke to VOA about how they enjoyed the celebrations.
