Mufti Hannan Remanded


A Dhaka court placed Harkat-ul Jihad al Islami leader Mufti Abdul Hannan on a 10-day remand in a case filed in connection with the August 21, 2004 grenade attack on an Awami League rally.

With this 10-day remand, Hannan, operations commander of Huji, has been on 135 days of remand so far in several cases including the August 17, 2005 countrywide bomb blasts, the 2001 Ramna Batamul blast and the 2004 grenade attack on British High Commissioner Anwar Choudhury in Sylhet.
