Over the last one week , Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been conducting raids against the drug dealers who have been engaged in the production and distribution of dangerous drugs Yaba and ice-pill worth hundred and fifty to two hundred million taka.
They have also found machineries for producing these drugs inside Bangladesh and have arrested some young people from well-to-do family.
Hasan Mahmud Khandakar, the Director General of RAB said that the situation has taken a dangerous turn and said that RAB and other law enforcers in Bangladesh will continue their efforts against the criminals.
He said that there was adequate law to deal with drug traffickers and if needed special law can be promulgated to bring the drug criminals to justice.
