Film Director Raja Sen Speaks About His New Movie


Raja Sen is a renowned film director in India. He has received three National Awards.

In 1993, his documentary, "Suchitra Mitra" received the National Award for the best film in the Art and Cultural Section. In 1995, his debut feature film "Damu" was awarded best Children's Film and his next film " Atmiyo Swajan" received the Award for the Best Family Film in 1999.

In fact, "Subarnalata", a teleserial brought him fame and recognition in the beginning of his career. "Adarsha Hindu Hotel" and others that followed, were tremendously popular, making Sen a household name in West Bengal.

Raja Sen recently visited USA to show his latest film “Krishnokanter Will.” It was shown in Atlanta Film Festival, San Francisco and Washington DC. In an interview with Voice of America, Raja Sen spoke about his latest film and problems faced by parallel film makers in India.
