World Bank President Robert Zoellick arrived in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon for a two-day visit.
An hour-long meeting between the WB and the government took place at the Planning Ministry conference room with Mirza Azizul Islam and Zoellick leading their respective sides.
The WB country and regional representatives took part in the meeting, while the secretaries of Finance Division, Economic Relations Division, and planning ministry accompanied Aziz.
On the other hand, a group of people from amongst the civil societies have been opposing World Bank and International Monetary Fund.
