Rapid Action Battalion raided a place in Dhaka and arrested a handicraft businessman and two of his workers at the DCC Market in Gulshan.
RAB was allegedly searching for Rabindranath Tagore's Nobel Prize medal stolen from Uttarayan Complex of Visva Bharati University at Shantiniketan in India in March 2004.
According to Rapid Action Battalion the members conducted the raids on the basis of information over telephone from a foreign country that the medal is in Dhaka. However, Rab did not officially confirm that the raids were carried out in search of Tagore's Nobel Prize medal.
In a daring burglary at the Uttarayan of Visva Bharati University, the Nobel Prize medal, a watch, a bangle and important citations belonging to Rabindranath Tagore were stolen from the museum on the night of March 24 in 2004.
